Start of my journey 10-13-08

I started my lap band journey on Oct. 13, 2008. I went to a general meeting with a whole lot of future lap bander and by pass surgery patients. I have to say that I am the smallest person there. You see, my BMI is 35 but I have Diabetes and high blood pressure so I qualifly for the surgery. The road getting here has been a long and hard one. I asked asking my primary physician 2 years for a referral but she would say" just eat less" , cut your portions. She finally agreed in July 09 for me to start the process.
